Artur Sagat

I began racing mountain bikes in 2001 completely naive about how cycling would change my life in the years to come. After a few seasons however, I hung up those wheels in exchange for their skinnier counterparts. Several years of racing on the road throughout many parts of the world and subsequently picking up cyclocross, I once again saddled a mountain bike when I began a new chapter in my life: racing for the Varsity SCAD Cycling Team. Now competing in all three disciplines throughout a single racing season, I enjoy each one for their own stand-out characters and atmospheres.

My absolute dearest aspect of cycling is he travel it involves. Seeing so many parts of the world, meeting new people, and falling in love with each and every cat and dog I meet along the way. I, myself, have two lovely cats named Lucy and Pixie who were both adopted from a local animal shelter when they were three months young. Their characters are so vastly different from one another it’s hard to believe they grew up together.
